Our community respects the environment. We are committed to leaving no physical trace of our activities wherever we gather. We clean up after ourselves and endeavor, whenever possible, to leave such places in a better state than when we found them.
Arguably Burning Man’s most important Principle, Leaving No Trace is not just about the playa; it’s our ethic about the whole planet. Burners are environmentalists. It’s just our nature. And, if we don’t uphold that one, we can’t get the permits from the Bureau of Land Management to build Black Rock City.
