Camp I Am is home to the Panoramic Photo Wall (giant panoramic photos of Burning Mans from 1988 to 2006) which has been on the Esplanade since 2000, the Cubatron Cone (spectacular and dynamic light sculpture!), the Embassy Camp (live bands on stage!), Ma’aM the monstrous person-powered sculptural and various small art pieces (come and see!).

Camp Inspiratum

Inspiratum is the home of inspiration to build, create, or play. Come play with the Crossbow Glowstick Shooters, marvel at the 46′ signal tower, relax in the hammock beneath the palm trees or check out the numerous human and otherwise powered machines that live in the outer courtyard.

Camp Karuna

Camp Karuna is a friendly camp and home to a collection of Burning Man Rangers and civilians. Karuna means “Compassion of the Buddha” in the Pali language. The camp serves chai tea and sympathy each day at 4 pm.

Camp Montage

Camp Montage is a year round project of collecting digital images from Burning Man to create original works of ‘montage’ art. At our Black Rock City art gallery we display over 20 large prints and numerous backlit montages, featuring art photographed on the playa from 2005-2008.

Camp Natural Selection

Camp Sietch Grabrear

Home of Shai-Hulud the Sandworm Mutant Vehicle. Visit our Dune inspired camp. Play Mondo Croquet & be refreshed and entertained at the sTEAp Tea House. Bring your own cup! Wed, all evolving creatures are invited to join the Intergalactic Species Parade. Gather and garb at 5 pm. Parade leaves at 6 pm.

Camp Stella is a camp of diverse queer and queer friendly folks who have agreed to experience Burning Man clean and sober for the duration of the event. Some of us are active in AA and other 12 step programs, others are not. We host 5 open AA meetings during the week. All are welcome to attend.

Cartoon Commune

Cartoon Commune is back with its playa publications. Come learn the basics of cartooning or practice your skills. We’ll be hosting a 2-hour workshop, or just come by for a personal training session. We’ll also be hosting a session of “longevity stick”, an exercise form; BYO stick as tall as you are.

Castle Anomalous

Castle Anomalous is a mutant vehicle that looks like a castle, has a large public roof deck, and has a private inner chamber for camp members. Whether parked at our camp or traveling around the playa, the Castle Anomalous mutant vehicle is the core of our theme camp and our community interactiong

Celestial Bodies

Celestial Bodies is a straight-friendly camp hosting a large and comfortable lounge for shade, drinks, music and entertainment. Visit our Garden of Hedon art installation and dust off your 80’s attire (disco drag always encouraged) and/or your favorite underwear for a DevaLution disco extravaganza.

Census Camp

The Black Rock Census has been collecting information about the population of Black Rock City since 2002. Information is gathered by asking participants to fill out an anonymous paper survey. The results of the Census are displayed the following year on the Census Wagon, and in each Afterburn report.

This is the main medical clinic for the participants of Burning Man. It is located next to the Ranger Station in Center Camp, and is open 24 hours a day.

Circus Jerk

Camp Circus Jerk promotes evolution through gay spirit, which we believe encompasses a variety of sexual passions and psychology. Run away with our circus and get “more gay” through public meditation, tantra, erotic workshops, group exploration, and performance art!

CoolTown

An oasis in the desert, open while it’s sunny out. CoolTown has a fully misted 400sq.ft. community shade structure to chill, rest, relax, and socialize or use our self service misting station. We have body/hair rinsing mornings and afternoons. Snow cones occasionally served.

Cosmic Elves

Cosmic Elves was seeded in the frequency of the BC westcoast tribal dance community and the LA Gathering of the Tribes in Black Rock City in 2003. Representing this intentional dance community consists of a collection of allied tribes from across the continent
