Community Services

Community Services had a successful year with little change to its structure or function. Each department had its own successes and struggles, but each of the volunteers who made the event happen participated in a very successful overall team effort. The department experienced little turnover in managers or change in processes. We continued to encourage inter-departmental communication and support, while allowing each department to develop projects and refine processes as seemed necessary to those involved.

One new task was accomplished that has resulted in an additional report in this section: We reviewed and made changes to the way we handle bikes. We looked at the bike repair camps, the process of reuniting found bikes with their owners, and the issues involved in storing abandoned bikes.
