Lamplighter Village

Home of the volunteers who, with lots of help from participants (i.e. YOU), light Black Rock City every night without fail! Remember: you don’t have to live in the Lamplighter village to be a Lamplighter one night, a few, or many. Come beat the afternoon heat and relax under our lounge misting system. Then join us @ 5:00 in our Center Camp Chapel workplace as we clean, fill, and hang hundreds of kerosene lamps during our nightly Lamplighter Parade! Headquarters for the first major party at Burning Man: The Annual Lamplighter “Bring your own cup” Sangria Soiree! Monday night at 10pm. Harbor of the Fountain Fall, a NEW watery oasis in the heart of our lounge.

Got a hankering for crunching some mid week veggies? Wednesday at noon the Lamplighter’s serve up salad in a cup, with oodles of very special dressing. That’s right kids, it time for Bloody Mary Brunch! But be sure to bring your own cup!

Spin. Invoke demons. Guess weights. Show us your moles. Whatever your talent, you have a chance to walk away with out-of-this-world trophies and first-class tickets on the METEOR04 back to LGN’s studios (once we get the damn intergalactic vehicle back up and flying, of course.) Auditions Mon. thru Fri. 4-7pm (or by ‘special’ appointment). Finals Sat. at 4pm.

Lions Camp / Eyeglass Recycling

Lions Camp is a place where one may leave their unused eyeglasses. They will be washed and sorted by perscription and given to people who do not have access to the glasses that they need to be able to see.
