Camp Beaverton for Wayward Girls

Camp Beaverton for Wayward Girls is a community for Gay & Queer Women, Lesbians, Bisexuals, Dykes, Sluts, Butches, Bois, Transfolk, Bi-curious and beyond. We provide a kick-ass, inclusive queer oasis in BRC for women and a continuing conversation exploring female and feminine queer sexuality.

Camp Lepidodgera

Camp Lepidodgera is home to the enormous kinetic butterfly, the Lepidodgera. We also have a gasifier laboratory that converts compostables into electricity for the purpose of demonstrating the old, but relevant technology of gasification.

Camp Montage uses Art to document Art, creating original works of ‘montage’ art from the digital images of talented Burning Man photographers. The 2010 art gallery will display 20 large backlit photographic prints featuring images photographed on the playa from 2005 through 2009.

Camp of Misfit Toys

Camp of Misfit toys is a christmas camp full of misfit toys, a christmas Tree Forest, Christmas Music, Christmas themed events, and Christmas cheer to be spread on the playa. Stop by for a gift exchanget, or just dance to the christmas music. Every Day is christmas.

Camp of the Rising Sun

Greet each new day with us through dance with daily sunrise music sets (both live and recorded), accompanied by performance, and ceremony. Body painting, healing arts, and a chill vibe begin before dawn and last all day.

Camp Overkill

Camp Overkill is a large 24 hour interactive theme camp. Our primary interest is combining large sound with a performance area available for use by all Black Rock City citizens.

Camp Shrunken Heads

Camp Shrunken Heads is back! We would have been last year but…. This year we will again be making brass, aluminum, titanium and (a few) silver b-man rings. We will also be stenciling stuff on tees, bods, etc. Everyone is welcome, except the Irish!

After many burns these spectacular souls have banded together to harness their inner chaos that exemplifies their version of the metropolis. Drop in to cool out from the heat or snag a bite when we’re grillin.

Camp Spampirish

Spam-pi-rish: (noun) 1. A camp of party activists supporting universal laws and synergism throughout their festivities. 2. Partiers of a diverse background, but predominantly made of Hawaiians, vampires, pirates, and the Irish; laid back camp offering beer pong (Beirut) to anyone that is interested in playing with us, a hammock dome to chill and watch the sunrise, Poi Dancing and Drum Circles, Bloody Mary Breakfast Potluck with a chance to be bitten by a Spampire, Pirate Party Spaghetti Potluck, a Beirut (Beer Pong) Tournament, and a Spampirish Bus.

Camp Stella

Camp Stella is a Burning Man theme camp of diverse queer and queer friendly folks who have agreed to experience Burning Man clean and sober for the duration of the event. Some of us are active in AA and other 12 step programs, others are not. We host 5 open AA meetings during the week.

Camposanto

Camposanto once again is coming out to the playa to share with the community music and culture from Latin America, we are an oasis of Salsa in a sea of electronica. Come and have a mojito, play some conga drums or play a beer-in-hand futbol game.

Can Huggers

Put an end to beer getting warm and hands getting cold. Join us for a cool beverage in a can hugger, also known as a beer koozie or sleeve. Enjoy your drink and play games such as poker, cards, dice and jenga! Our shade structures offer relief from the blazing afternoon sun and entertainment for everyone. Carbon Dioxide Camp

We are a bunch of punk technical artists from around the SouthWest, organized around the theme of our precious waste gas, carbon dioxide, only slightly ironically. We are collaborating individuals who individually and collectively produce works of art, do community organizing, cultural events, all with a DIY and punk socially-responsible aesthetic.

Cartoon Commune's Jungle Dome

Retreat from the hot dry playa into a lush green jungle. Have a drink at our watering hole. At our workshop, learn the basics of cartooning or brush up your skillz. In the evenings, come by for a Happy Hour, or late night, warm up by the campfire. Mornings, practice Longevity Stick with Flash.

Celestial Bodies

Celestial Bodies is a straight-friendly camp hosting a large and comfortable [underground] lounge for shade, drinks, music and entertainment. Don you favorite SuperHero playa wear and join us for an afternoon Tea Dance, Classical Chill each morning, and check out our other events and activities.

Census Camp

The Black Rock Census has been collecting information about the population of Black Rock City since 2002. Information is gathered by asking participants to fill out an anonymous paper survey. The results of the Census are displayed the following year on the Census Wagon, and in each Afterburn report.

Center Camp Medical Clinic

This is the main medical clinic for the participants of Burning Man. It is on the Esplanade, between 5:00 and 5:15.

Center Of Gravity

Center Of Gravity camp will take your mind, body, and soul to levels of bliss you never thought you could reach. Our high energy participants and creative artist create a world that is not familiar to earth. We fuel our camp with your energy and welcome any and all. Our camp is home to the Dancetronauts and a docking bay for all their art cars. We welcome all to enjoy the visual, physical, and mental stimulation that the center of gravity camp has to offer.

Chakra Dome

Chakra Dome is a home on the playa for meditation and reflection on the Chakras, the portals of energy through which our spiritual energy travels. Take a journey through the 7 Chakras to enlighten your being and make manifest the abundance of your highest spiritual self.

Champagne Lounge

Every day’s a celebration! Come by the Champagne Lounge for your daily dose of bubbly fun! The Champagne Lounge, formerly Camp Welcome, will be quenching your champagne thirst a daily high-noon happy hour. Bring your own cup, but remember, no sex in the Champagne Lounge…okay, well…maybe.

Chaya Tea House

Authentic matcha tea & Japanese sweets prepared for you in our serene tea house. Sit, relax and enjoy an intimate break from the hustle and bustle of the city. Cheezy Porn Camp

City Repair Camp is inspired by a Portland organized action group that turns excess urban spaces into beautiful community places. Come by our camp for fun workshops on how to create similar projects in your own city as well as tea time, circus fun, and music jams. Free box.

Cloud City

Cloud City is an aerial space filled with shining silver balloons. Come during the day to enjoy the blissful light energy of the Cloud Chamber. At night, overlook the playa using the Cloud Eye video installation or just chill by our burn barrel and check out the fire and lights in the clouds.

Clown Town

Clown Town, come on down, we’re the scariest clowns that were ever around. We’ll have carnival games with plenty of prizes to transform you into a burning man terror, there’s even a couple of bar nights. We’re new this year, so come out and play with us in the dark metropolis. It’ll just be a ball.
