The Radical City: Dreamers, Makers and Doers is a free, all-ages event hosted collaboratively by Maker Faire and Burning Man Project at Dokk1 in Aarhus, Denmark. The event will be presented as an integral part of the Burning Man European Leadership Summit in Aarhus, which will take place from April 11-14.

On Saturday, April 13, we will explore the dynamics of our roles as citizens in both temporary and permanent cities. We’ll also address questions that pertain to issues of public space, civic activism, urban impermanence, self-expression, governance systems, community-building and fostering sustainable cities.

This is an opportunity to learn more about the Burning Man Network in Europe, the Maker Faire, and local initiatives in Aarhus through hands-on workshops, presentations, tours and group discussions with Burners, makers and local citizens.

We look forward to seeing you for this day of creativity, fun and exploration of what it means to be a “Radical City”.

Tickets: None. Pre-registration is only required for two workshops with limited capacity — Improving Human Relationships and Connection: A Design Workshop (register here) and Radical City Workshop: What can a city gain from using participatory budgeting?
