Celestial Bodies

Census Lab

The Black Rock City Census has been collecting information about the population of Black Rock City since 2002. Information is gathered by asking participants to fill out an anonymous survey. The results of the Census are displayed the following year at the Census Lab, and in each Afterburn report.

Chakralicious Camp is a camp dedicated to all levels of colorful diversity, with yoga, workshops, music, art, spirituality, community, and more. This will be a 24 hour interactive camp with beautiful altars, chill spaces, visionary art, and colorful decor representing the rainbow colors of the chakras, so come take a class in Kundalini Yoga, Tantra, Thai Massage, or Non-Violent Communication, and at night, dance at our chakra themed parties with djs, live music, and fun interactive ceremonies.

Come by the Champagne Lounge for your daily dose of bubbly fun! The Champagne Lounge will be quenching your midday thirst with happy hours featuring ice-cold champagne. Not in the mood for bubbles? Charcadia

Charcadia is a dual-purpose camp that truly bridges the realms of Big Art and Big Theme Camps. Members of Charcadia are building and running the Charcade, a massive Honourarium Art Project and the first-ever fiery on-playa arcade. In addition to this, our theme camps offer a wide variety of activities, services, and spaces for the community. We will also have a number of day and nighttime activities – from Classroom space to Midnight snacks – so come visit us!

Cheezy Porn

Cheezy Porn celebrates everything Porn…and the cheesier the better! We lean towards the silly & soft-core rather than raunchy & hard-core. We’ll have you wondering whether the wet spot in your pants is from being turned-on or laughing your ass off!

Children of Chaos

Chaos, joy, good conversation, parades, and motherly advice. Gold parade Wednesday at 6:00 pm, cocktails in camp after, and the Illuminated Specters parade Thursday at 9:00 pm – in the late morning meet the Jewish mother you never had, for mothering in your choice of English, Yiddish or Hebres.
