Black Rock City’s Emergency Services Department (ESD) is available before the event officially starts, and is on duty until playa restoration is complete. ESD provides fire protection, medical evaluation and treatment, mental health services, an Emergency 911 Dispatch facility, and the communications infrastructure for Black Rock City.
In Black Rock City you can find ESD stations on 3:00 and 9:00 at the intersection just beyond the plazas, and near Center Camp at 5:15 and Esplanade.
