Cabana Club

The Cabana Club is an oasis of hospitality and friendship in the tradition of the old grand social clubs and beach resorts of the early 20th century. Our Cabana Staff serve up tasty treats and resort-worthy cocktails while our guests lounge in our comfortable cabanas, cool off in our Aluminet shade structure, or go for a spin in “The Spa” with our resident DJ’s.

Cabaret of the Void

Cabaret of the Void is a variety show-style vaudevillian speakeasy featuring an intimate stage and bar offering wine and song and a bohemian-chic lounge for socializing and unwinding.

Boasting a decadent aesthetic, red and purple velvet decor, and low-lit ambiance, our interactivity will focus on bringing the spirit of satire, performance art, and parody to the playa. Cabaret of the Void offers a dizzying array of burlesque, comedy, magic, dance, circus, music and more!

Cafe Diem

We are an immersive cafe experience where each cup of coffee or tea is lovingly made. Take a break from the playa and enjoy the ritual of sipping coffee or tea from a handmade cup under our airy shade structure. Stroll around to check out our art, play board games, or socialize and make new friends. We happily serve cold brew and French press as well as a wide array of teas from around the world including classic and herbal varieties, not to mention hand-crafted sodas.

You Look Thirsty! Welcome to Cameltopia, your desert oasis and refuge from the sun’s heat. You are welcome to pet the camels but please do not feed the animals. Recharge your soul and fill your vessel with premium unleaded H20 at our post-apocalyptic “Route 66” gas station. Our attendants will refuel your canteen while you browse our Inconvenience Store. Camp Not a Cult provides an alcohol-free, sobriety-supportive space for new and experienced burners which is light-hearted, sarcastically and not culty. We believe that by removing alcohol from our lives we have unlocked a way to live more authentically, feel better, and have more FUN every single day. And that doesn’t make us boring. You still find us howling at the moon, wild-eyed and sometimes naked, dancing around the fire. Rather than daily recovery meetings, we offer a variety of yoga and meditation classes and workshops, a cacao ceremony & ecstatic dance, a fire-spinning workshop for beginners, Ayurvedic wisdom, 1-2 sober/sober-curious meetups, and other events. Our camp was founded in 2014 when most of us (being virgin burners) stranded on the playa at the same place, same time. We all woke up to the beautiful sound of the bagpipe. Camp Synthesis embodies the melding of three things: Synthesizers, Sake, and Sushi. Here’s the concept: People who like producing music with synths, midi instruments, drum machines, etc., hanging out, jamming, teaching others to make music, performing live sets, share Japanese food, and sharing a drink (日本酒).  Daytime event include interactive synthesizer jams in our domesynths, drum machines, samplers, vocoders, and sequncers.  Following learning something, we will host a synth jam circle, where anyone can show up and jam with us or use the synths we’ve got.  We’ll have a small sound system and will host some live performances for anyone who wants to come to “Open Synth” hour.  Following the Sushi Bar nights, we will host DJ sets from guest SF based DJs.
