2015 Camps
Que Viva! Camp
Migration is Beautiful! A mix of Carnaval and Mardi Gras, Que Viva! (Celebrate Life!) camp will roll with Latino and Cajun music, migration stories, and butterflies, symbols of metamorphosis. Come paint your wings to wear around the playa! Tell your migration story in our video photo booth! If you do, you’ll get your BRC “Permanant Residency” green card. Check What, Where, When for wing-making times. No art experience necessary. Hammocks, chairs and tables create a welcome respite in the shade. Que Viva! emphasizes bringing artists, change makes, and social justice advocates from communities not traditionally represented at Burning Man, people of color, immigrant folk, and activists – to create a more inclusive BRC where everyone’s voice and spirit are uplifted.
