Camp 54

Camp 54! This year featuring our instillation “Symphony 54… in FU Sharp”. It’s an interactive sculpture garden of amorphous percussive instruments made of recycled pvc tubing from domes from years past. The instruments will be reactive to the wind and allow participants to create and experiment with an amazing scientific demonstration of acoustics of sound in tubes of all shapes and diameters.

Camp Acoustic Combustion

As the flames groove to the rhythm and the beat of the music grows more intense, you find you have a choice. Do let the dancing carry you away, absorb your senses in the flames, or perhaps, pick up an instrument and make the flames dance yourself. If you have your own instrument, perhaps you’ll bring it to the party with you. There’s always room for one more…

Camp al Azar

Camp al Azar has artisans of all kinds, prepared to turn your body into a masterpiece. Relax to our live music, and have a cocktail, as we use a combination of airbrushed dyes and stencils, pattern rollers, stamps and fine brushed handwork in a myriad of non-toxic colors and combinations to transform you into walking art extraordinaire! Painting stations will be open every day noon to dusk.

Camp Armageddon

Armageddon – it’s not the end of the world, it’s the Safe Word! Armageddon is the cool place to chill, so drop by and set a spell in our living room. Bring your bike too, if it needs some love.

Camp Bacchanalia

Come celebrate Adolescent Rites of Passage from across the ages! Wear your best gender-bending formal attire to our “Drag Yourself to Playa Prom”. Join us for a Bacchanal with Satyrs, Nymphs, Gods & Goddesses, then on to the Trojan Horse procession. And it’s fun in the dust at the college rite everyone loves to hate, Spring Break 2011: La Playa! Mutant vehicle driver’s licenses issued daily, laminated with your photo.

Camp Beaverton

Camp Beaverton for Wayward Girls is a community for Gay & Queer Women, Lesbians, Bisexuals, Dykes, Sluts, Butches, Bois, Transfolk, Bi-curious and beyond. We provide a kick-ass, inclusive queer oasis in BRC for women and a continuing conversation exploring female and feminine queer sexuality.

Camp BurningGLAM

Being on the Playa, it’s hard to be GLAM, but here at Camp BurningGLAM, that’s how we roll. Glamping is our RITE OF PASSAGE. Catch a ride in our limo, or come party with us for our PROM PARTY or the BIG BRIDAL BASH, but remember, you gotta get GLAM!

Camp Conduit – gifting sun hats, hemp bondage rope, and knot instruction to the masses. In 2010, Camp Conduit rose from the ashes of the disaster-stricken Pepper Conduit of 2008. Returning in 2011 with more hats, more rope, and more fabulous accessories!

Contact Improvisation Dance, AcroYoga, Tantra, Energy Work, Thai Massage, Eye-Contact Jams, and conversations about David Deida’s work are just a few of the events you will find at our camp. From Camp Coracao, Matthew and Daniel are transporting tons of chocolate in coolers w/dry ice, and carting them out to mid playa where they will gift crisp, cool perfect pieces of raw-chocolate to burningman participants to, “re-up these kids serotonin levels”.

Camp Eden, a sister camp of Barbie Death Camp, provides massages, apple vinegar foot baths and aura healing. A quiet camp dedicated to rebooting the energy of a friend who looks to find solace and tranquility amongst the hustle and bustle of BRC. Camp Herring Scale:Burners

We’re six Norwegians planning to attend Burning Man 2011 in a special way.
Not in person, but as figures in a down-scaled theme camp.
The scale we have chosen is 1:87 and the camp will fill about one cubic foot
of playa space. We want to get registered as an official theme camp.
It’s an important issue for the project that all matters concerning the camp
are in proper scale, in this case 1:87.

CAT-ASS-TROPHY

Camp Cat-Ass-Trophy is the lair for the Pirate Kitty’s and their Art Ship Sven the Cat. The Pirate Kitty’s can be found in the Cat-A-Tonic bar sipping there spirits or chillin in the Litter Box Lounge.

Celestial Bodies Camp

A straight-friendly lounge and bar serving a delicious and refreshing Playa Cosmo and hosting several special events throughout the week. We’re always a favorite local neighborhood hangout both daytime and evenings.

Census Camp

The Black Rock Census has been collecting information about the population of
Black Rock City since 2002. Information is gathered by asking participants to
fill out an anonymous paper survey. The results of the Census are displayed
the following year on the Census Wagon, and in each Afterburn report.

Center Of Gravity (Dancetronauts)

Center Of Gravity camp will take your mind, body, and soul to levels of bliss you never thought you could reach. Our high energy participants and creative artist create a world that is not familiar to earth. We fuel our camp with your energy and welcome any and all. Our camp is home to the Dancetronauts and a docking bay for all their art cars. We welcome all to enjoy.

Chakralicious Camp

Chakralicious Camp is a camp dedicated to workshops, music, art, spirituality, sensuality, community and will be a 24 hour interactive camp with beautiful altars, chill spaces, visionary art, and colorful decor representing the rainbow colors of the chakras. Come take a class in Women’s Moon Cycles, or Tantra for Two, or Thai Massage, or Non-Violent Communication, and at night, dance to our resident djs and rockin good bands.

Champagne Lounge

Every day is a celebration! Come by the Champagne Lounge for your daily dose of bubbly fun! The Champagne Lounge will be quenching your champagne thirst with a daily high-noon happy hour, in addition to unscheduled surprise happy hours throughout the day. Bring your own cup, but remember, no sex in the Champagne Lounge…okay, well…maybe.

Chico Urban Area Docking Port

Get your Inter-dimensional transfer ticket at our HQ docking station or the way station out on the playa. Also available will be Playa trading cards complete with stats. Feeling inquisitive? Children of Chaos

Chaos, joy, good conversation, parades and motherly advice. Gold Parade Wednesday, assemble at 5:30, parade at 6:00 pm. Illuminated Specters Thursday, assemble at 8:30, parade at 9:00 pm. Chop Shop is the best small playa neighborhood Bicycle Garage in BRC! Here in Chop Shop we have over 50 years of BRC experience in bicycles, welding and small engine repair. We are ready to repair a
wide variety of playa transportation with parts, welding repairs, and advice. While you

Inspired by Eastern wisdom and the power of Jah, the notorious Madame Astrolabe and her pillaging monkey crew, seduce all those ensnared in her booming wake.

Contradance Community Camp

Contradancing all levels every night to live music – looped/traditional/celtic/fusion/techno; fast-paced yet easy to learn with a caller who instructs (but with room for dancers to improvise). Half the moves are with your partner, half with everyone else, resulting in a tribal vibe, where the Zen is flow, synchrony, and bonding (not footwork, not competition).
