Since the first Burn in 1986, Burning Man has evolved from a single annual event into a global cultural movement advancing a more creative, connected and thriving society. Burning Man Project is the nonprofit in service to that culture, working year-round and around the world to bring people together in real life to do amazing things. From neighborhood meet-ups and civic art projects to our signature annual gathering in Nevada, a temporary city of more than 70,000 humans, we work to create and support environments that foster authentic human connection, creativity and innovation.
