The 360 is Burning Man’s newest makers ranch at the edge of the Black Rock Desert supporting theme camps, art projects, mutant vehicles, Black Rock City teams, DPW, and independent creators of all kinds. The foundation has been built for new gathering and maker spaces to support the goals set by Burning Man Project’s Sustainability Roadmap (watch the two year update here).

Fly Ranch is a 3,800 acre ranch in Northern Nevada home to Fly Geyser. We’ve hosted open campouts, work days, and hundreds of public nature walks. Projects are organized by volunteers and tend to focus on reconnection, healing, human creativity, and the land. Our programmatic goal is to produce public benefits as an agricultural site with regenerative cycles for food, water, power, shelter, waste, and air. If you’d like to visit throughout the year, you can join a nature walk, Stewardship Day, Labyrinth walk, or become a Fly Guardian. Information is available at flyranch.burningman.org.

October 2022 TrailBlaze
Friday October 14 – Sunday October 16, 2022
Trailblaze is a gathering of community members and makers creating art and infrastructure for Black Rock City and beyond. During this weekend-long event, you’ll have opportunities to collaborate on projects, contribute to the local community, learn new skills, and spend time getting to know your fellow makers. Welcoming theme camp organizers, mutant vehicle owners, art project leaders, volunteers, and Burning Man creators of all kinds.

Maker’s Village (Open Maker Space)
June 1, 2022 – July 24, 2022
This is an opportunity for groups, artists, theme camp crews, mutant vehicle builders, and more who want to come out for collaborative work days. Reservations will be required, shared cooking facilities and shaded lounge onsite. This ongoing opportunity, June 1 – July 24, will help us experience, imagine, and provide input on the next steps in our development of the auto shop and makers spaces.
Maker’s Village Weekends
Friday July 22nd – Sunday July 24th, 2022
Join us at The 360 to experience, imagine, and co-create Burning Man’s newest maker space at the edge of the Black Rock Desert.
Makers Village is an opportunity for groups, artists, theme camp crews, mutant vehicle builders, and more to do more extensive projects and stay onsite overnight. Maker’s Village weekends provide a time and space for Burning Man creators to come together in preparation for Black Rock City, work on projects large and small, and connect with volunteers who want to support them.
Net Zero Black Rock City
July 7, 2022 – July 10, 2022
What: Net Zero Black Rock City is a gathering to showcase and incubate sustainable technologies created by the Burning Man community. Net Zero BRC brings together project leaders from theme camps, art installations, mutant vehicles. Together we will build a custom solar-powered shade structure and participate in a variety of workshops, discussions, and ideation sessions around solar, transportation, waste management, and so much more. You are invited to learn, share, and accelerate solutions that bring us closer to getting Black Rock City off fossil fuels.
Why: Foster relationships and communities around the 2030 Sustainability Roadmap.
Ideate and develop sustainability programs and projects.
Inspire and educate by showcasing green technologies and hosting workshops applicable to BRC.

Fly Ranch
Fly Ranch Nature Walks
Friends of Black Rock-High Rock offer 2.5-hour Nature Walks in partnership with the Burning Man Project. Explore two distinct portions of the stunning 3,800-acre property. Experience Fly Ranch in small groups, maintaining a physical distance while making a connection with the desert and geothermic landscape of Northwestern Nevada. Walk slowly, take in the scenery and experience the art and nature of Fly Ranch.

Fly Ranch Stewardship Days

Come volunteer at Fly Ranch, participate in hands-on projects, and enjoy a sunset soak in the Fly Geyser hot springs. We will have a full day of working on stewardship projects. Lunch and beverages are provided.
