You are invited to visit the Everywhere Pavilion and to take a moment to learn about Burning Man’s many, many off-playa, year-round, global projects. Stop by anytime to read about Burning Man Arts’ many public art projects, the Regional Network’s many Regional events, Black Rock Solar’s impressive initiatives, and Burners Without Borders’ admirable and innovative social and relief initiatives. These groups are finding creative, collaborative ways to recreate the experiential art, civic engagement, and community we have here in Black Rock City in the rest of the world!

Midway Grand Opening Procession and Extravaganza

Opening Party 6:15 – 9 p.m. at the Man
Come one! Come all! Step right up! All are invited to the Grand Opening of the Midway! Engage with our global community and discover the exotic delights of our carnival sideshow around the Man. The festivities will kick off with a grand parade procession starting at 5:45pm at the Everywhere Pavilion and leading into the Midway at the Man Base, where our opening party will begin at 6:15 pm. Performers of all stripes invited! Performances and shenanigans await!
Playa Del Fuego Pony Potluck

Ponies and Prosecco and Potlucks, OH MY! Join your fellow East Coast Burners for the Playa del Fuego Pony Potluck for the PDF Pony Potluck. Don your favorite pony, pony rider, or pony wrangler costume, bring a snack to share, and mingle with your favorite muddy friends! Share your adventures, plan Playa dates for the rest of the week, and discuss how we can bring more of BRC back to PDF!
Though this is advertised as a PDF meet-up, we welcome EVERYONE, especially our fellow East Coaster – PortalBurner, FireFliers, Mysterians – come one! Come all! BYOE (as in EVERYTHING)! LNT in full effect! Stick around for a procession to the midway for some fun and games!!!

Black Rock Solar’s Solar Playa International

Join Black Rock Solar at its annual event Solar Playa International. While sipping on a cool libation, you will get a chance to meet the staff and crew of Black Rock Solar as well as other Burners doing meaningful and innovative work around the country. The purpose of this event is to bring together all of the different groups and individuals on playa doing work in renewable energy, climate change, environmental outreach, and policy. Tell us about your projects and learn about ours. Since 2007 Black Rock Solar has been building solar arrays in Nevada and giving them away at little or no cost. To date, BRS has built over 5.5 megawatts of clean renewable energy. BRS prioritizes installations for schools, hospitals, rural communities, non-profit groups, and Native American tribes.

We’ll have some info on out many Midwest regionals, and other projects and ideas we’ve been cooking up for the futures as well.
