Participants are not allowed to bring dogs, cats, or other pets to Black Rock City.
The combination of loud noises, unforgiving environment, and unpredictable conditions beyond the trash fence makes it a terrible idea for all concerned, especially the pet.
Participants who arrive at the gate with pets will be turned away. Reno is a long way to drive back, and it will be hard to find kennel space during the event week. The best thing to do is to plan ahead and find a petsitter, family member or friend, veterinarian’s kennel or boarding facility near home, and leave your pet in their care.
This policy was put in place with the utmost concern for the health and well being of both pets and participants. Thank you for understanding and implementing this policy.
