This is Time TO Burn, Toronto's official Burning Man Decompression… a night to reconnect, re-ignite, and celebrate our vibrant community. Step into an evening alive with music, art, and radical self-expression. You'll find immersive worlds built by GTA theme camps, artists, DJs, and performers – all coming together in a fantastic and eclectic industrial sparce for one night only.

The 2026 San Francisco Bay Area Decompression returns to The Loom at Livingston St. and 22nd Ave., in Oakland on Saturday, October 17th, from 2pm – 12am (continuing until 3am indoors). The event will feature diverse, family-friendly daytime programming, nighttime celebrations, and hands-on art projects, maker and technology demos, speakers, workshops, a mini film-festival, food and beverage, and much more.

SeaCompression is a one-of-a-kind fall gathering—a hybrid of street carnival, dance party, and art festival—produced by Ignition Northwest, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to building community through participatory arts, immersive events, and creative education. As the official “decompression” event for the Burning Man community, SeaCompression serves as a vibrant closing ceremony to the festival season, inviting both seasoned Burners and newcomers to embrace the spirit of inclusion, self-expression, and collaborative creativity. A legacy of imagination: For more than two decades, SeaCompression has brought together the Puget Sound Burner community in celebration of art, music, performance, and community connection. Each year features large-scale art installations, interactive experiences, and unforgettable performances created by and for the community.

They are places where you learn things about yourself, where your inner vision opens, your horizons expand. The Decom is here to celebrate the challenge that comes from change. And to hopefully soften the sometimes-rough landing… The very basic core of a Burner’s spirit is their passion for adventure. The joy of life that comes from our encounters with new experiences. There is no greater thrill than to discover a changed horizon, to have a different sun for each new day. Using these learnings and new horizons, we encourage you to contribute to this year’s philosophy. Create an artwork, performance or decoration that forecasts your future. Imagine alternative pasts which, branching off from what we know, create alternative realities. The horizon leans forward, offering you space to take new steps of change.

Burners from around the world return home with full baggage of adventures and emotions. That obviously means it is time for decompression. Let’s revive creativity and freedom to feel each of us in ourselves and around us. Dive into real art, real emotions and •RESTART•

Decom is one of the world’s longest running Burning Man events. It is a co-created one day / night festival run entirely by volunteers. Everyone buys a ticket, even the organisers, and there are low income tickets available. Decom runs on Burning Man’s 10 principles, which everyone coming needs to read and understand.
