SeaCompression is Seattle's official decompression event for the Burning Man community, offering a place to dust off your art or show off new ideas, grab a drink with friends, and dance the night away. For 2026 SeaCompression is "Getting Messy", join us for Burner favorites like The Playa Simulator, lubricated wrestling, stage take overs from our favorite camps, and more art and entertainment to keep you warm all winter!

The 2026 San Francisco Bay Area Decompression returns to The Loom at Livingston St. and 22nd Ave., in Oakland on Saturday, October 17th, from 2pm – 12am (continuing until 3am indoors). The event will feature diverse, family-friendly daytime programming, nighttime celebrations, and hands-on art projects, maker and technology demos, speakers, workshops, a mini film-festival, food and beverage, and much more.

Set against the backdrop of impending adventure, this day and night affair beckons all seekers of creativity and communal spirit. We extend a warm invitation to adventurers from every corner. Gather your crew, embark on a journey, and brace yourselves for an immersive dive into art, performance, music, and burner culture.

Join us for another unmissable night of Decom on Saturday 7th November, 6pm til 5am, as we return to our Docklands home at The Cause for an evening tuned to something otherworldly. This year, we invite you to tune into DreamWave. Somewhere, in a reality that never fully happened, a signal has been broadcasting all along, patiently waiting for a place and people willing to receive it. Tonight, it finally breaks through, on a frequency the ordinary world was never tuned to catch. Tonight, this frequency finds us.

They are places where you learn things about yourself, where your inner vision opens, your horizons expand. The Decom is here to celebrate the challenge that comes from change. And to hopefully soften the sometimes-rough landing… The very basic core of a Burner’s spirit is their passion for adventure. The joy of life that comes from our encounters with new experiences. Sad news: Dustcovery will not be taking place in 2026. Despite a lot of searching, GVIAS and the Dustcovery Production Team weren't able to secure a venue that fit our timeframe and needs by the go/no-go date. We're gutted, but we're already hopeful for what the community can bring back in the future. Have a lead on a Lower Mainland venue that might work for future GVIAS events? We'd love to hear from you: board@gvias.org. We're keeping this listing up so it's easy to find, and we hope to be back with a full extravaganza in 2027.
