With ART BAER, we invite YOU to a magical event that focuses on art, community, playfulness and other eccentricities. At this summer event organized by Berlin Burner e. V., you can experiment freely, present your art, find like-minded people for larger art projects, get inspired, and above all, have a lot of fun!

Where The Sheep Sleep is more than just a celebration of community: it is a massive, immersive, interactive playground that we all build and live in for four days. A burn is a community-driven event where participants create a temporary space for art, self-expression, and collaboration, following principles like gifting, participation, and leaving no trace—everyone contributes, and nothing is left behind.

Amber Burn is a regional Burning Man community gathering in Lithuania that is organized and run entirely by volunteers, following the ten principles of Burning Man. We all, including YOU, create a more expressive and exciting reality together.​ As a part of the Burning Man family, we are a community where everyone is welcome. No prerequisites exist for participation. It’s an environment that encourages individuals to rely on their inner resources and creativity. Amber Burn only happens if you and I and all of us make a communal effort to gift and make it happen.

At its core, Elsewhere is a giant social experiment. It's where art and chaos bubble up from the collective. It's creativity, connection, and collective effort, guided by our shared principles (think Gifting, Self-Reliance, Leave No Trace… the good stuff).

Cosmic Burn is a small five-day, four-night temporary world, created on private property just outside Ithaca, NY. With a center camp as its living heart, the gathering weaves art, music, and fire into a shared rhythm, culminating in the burning of the effigy. Co-created by the community for itself, Cosmic Burn is a place where the 10 Principles are lived in practice and imagination is set alight.

2026 marks the 23rd anniversary of Critical Northwest. Throughout the years, our devoted community of volunteers and citizens have embodied the essence of Burning Man in Washington, blending the art, excitement, and creativity of the Playa with the enchantment and natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. It's a place to get a taste of Burner culture – Featuring art, DJs, fire performances, live music, theme camps, workshops, and, of course, a fire conclave & burn. Critical Northwest is an event sponsored by Ignition Northwest, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a mission to fuel the community through participatory arts, events, and education.

Lakes of Fire is the Great Lakes Region’s official Burning Man Regional Event and is conducted in accordance with the 10 Principles. It is an annual collaborative celebration of art and community, steeped in friendship, fire, and wonder. This event will be created for you, and by you – your creativity, art, and relentless enthusiasm are what makes it happen. Without you, there is no home to return to!

POrtalBurn is a sanctioned regional Burning Man event in New York State, guided by the Ten Principles of Burning Man. Each year we design and set up a temporary community where everyone participates. There are no vendors; nothing can be bought or sold. Items are freely gifted. The entire event is run by volunteers. Everyone including Board Members, Department Leads, and Rangers is volunteering, because POrtalBurn belongs to them and you…POrtalBurn IS YOU! Here you will find the wild, the wonderful, the magical…a world of unbridled creativity and self-expression through music, art, performances, gatherings, food, drink and participatory events. What If is the Greater Vancouver Interactive Arts Society's (GVIAS) Official Burning Man Regional event for Greater Vancouver and British Columbia. Now in its 24th year, our community of participants and volunteers has been embodying the 10 Principles of Burning Man in BC since 2002. Each summer, around 2,000 people gather in Merritt, BC to co-create a temporary world built on radical participation, featuring interactive art, theme camps, workshops, live music, and performances. There are no spectators here, only co-creators. GVIAS is a nonprofit society with a mission to support participatory arts and culture across the region.

Before form… before flame… before the universe had shape — there was a spark. A flash of possibility. A moment of inspiration. The instant when nothing becomes something, where it all begins. The First Spark celebrates the beginning of creation — the mysterious ignition where imagination turns into reality. In that tiny burst of energy, stars ignite, ideas take form, and new worlds begin. We honor those origins by reflecting the spirit of the Burning Man Project and its 10 Principles within our art, performances, and shared experiences.

The 2026 theme, "The Time is Now", is a powerful call to action and presence. In a world full of distractions, delays, and "someday" dreams, it urges participants to seize the present moment fully: to act on creative impulses without waiting for permission, to connect authentically right here and now, to harness inner resources amid uncertainty, and to build something meaningful together in this fleeting week. It echoes the urgency of living radically, gifting generously, and expressing boldly—reminding us that transformation doesn't happen later; it begins the instant we show up with intention. "The Time is Now" invites reflection on personal agency, collective momentum, and the magic that unfolds when we stop postponing wonder and instead ignite it immediately.

Built around a set of guiding principles, Modifyre reflects these ideas in our event and year-round community. We aim to create a temporary village built on a gift economy, fuelled by communal effort, lit with radical thinking, and filled with participatory art, theme camps, performance, workshops, music and, of course, fire. At the heart of this village is the bug, pollinating the seeds of our imagination. When the bug burns these seeds are spread far and wide, helping creativity blossom wherever they land. When we leave, we dismantle and take the village with us back to our everyday lives.

Just like Tankwa Town, Decompression is your open sea – a blank canvas where you’re the captain, the artist, and the performer. So cast off from the shores of the everyday, bring your wildest costumes, shimmering art, and bubbling ideas, and let’s dip our toes back into the blue one more time!

The Third Degree is a fully immersive participatory experience which gathers the existing burner community and welcoming new friends. We invite you all to enjoy the lovely views and environment this wonderful site brings to us all.

The MicroBurn is a not-for-profit community event which is inspired by Burning Man principles, held each year in a beautiful Welsh valley in Powys. We pride ourselves on keeping “Micro” to create a community vibe on site, focusing on connection, which remains long after we have left the valley. Zurich Decompression is a celebration of the Burning Man principles and culture.

The official Regional Burning Man Decompression for Colorado, aka Denver DeCOmp, typically takes place in October, a few short weeks after the man burns. DeCOmp is an annual tradition that supports not only Denver but the entire Rocky Mountain Region. This event provides a space for the community to revel in the spirit of Burning Man whether their last trip to the playa was weeks or years ago.

MPYRE Strikes Back! is the Monterey, California area’s Regional Burning Man celebration. It has always been Free and All Ages, and is held on the gorgeous Del Monte Beach at Monterey Bay Park. Entirely led by Volunteers and Participants, we gather for one afternoon and evening of CAMP (Community, Art, Music, and Play). You are invited to help make this special. Reach out to us with your inspiration, and let’s do this together.

Constellation is an opportunity for our community to come together to connect, explore, build, burn, heal, dance, and challenge ourselves to go beyond the boundaries of what we all think is possible. Our collaboratively built city will be constructed entirely from the imaginations of the city’s inhabitants. We are radically inclusive and we’d love to welcome you!

NECTR is an outdoor camping experience detached from commodities and focused on art and community. It is a participant driven experience in the woods where all the infrastructure before, during, and after is provided by the attendees. Through self-expression, gifting, and immediacy – it is meant to be transformative. NECTR is a Burning Man Regional event and as such, supports the 10 Principles. This is a leave no trace event.

Burning Japan is a regional arts and music event inspired by Burning Man, centered around radical self-expression and the creation of temporary communities. The event fosters an environment of inclusivity, acceptance, and respect. It is entirely volunteer-driven, with participants solely responsible for creating the art and entertainment. There are no passive observers—everyone is actively involved. The event does not include concession stands, and monetary transactions are prohibited. Even bartering is discouraged, as this gathering operates under the principles of a gift economy: if you need something, ask for it; if you have it, share it. Burning Japan adheres to a Leave No Trace policy, meaning no trash cans are provided and all attendees are expected to carry out their own waste. Personal accountability is essential, and it remains a private, volunteer-run event.

Decompression is our low key, winding-down-from-all-the-burns camping event that takes place in October. It’s a wonderful time for story telling and camaraderie and yes, decompression in our Galactic Garden.

The Venice Afterburn is a yearly celebration of art and community in Venice Beach. As an official Burning Man Regional, it brings the playa spirit into the “default world,” blending it with the creative and colorful energy of Venice. For two days, Windward Plaza transforms into a playground of magic full of art cars, installations, theme camps, music and comes alive with burners and locals alike.

Guided by the 10 principles of Burning Man, Coracle celebrates art, community, play and expression. Children of all ages are welcome. There is no vending of any kind at Coracle, there are no commercial sponsorships, transactions, or advertising. You must bring everything you need to survive and thrive in early November elements (cold, rain, sunshine). All offerings by participants are offered as a gift, and our temporary celebration thrives on acts of gift-giving, with no expectation of return.

They are places where you learn things about yourself, where your inner vision opens, your horizons expand. The Decom is here to celebrate the challenge that comes from change. And to hopefully soften the sometimes-rough landing… The very basic core of a Burner’s spirit is their passion for adventure. The joy of life that comes from our encounters with new experiences. There is no greater thrill than to discover a changed horizon, to have a different sun for each new day. Using these learnings and new horizons, we encourage you to contribute to this year’s philosophy. Create an artwork, performance or decoration that forecasts your future. Imagine alternative pasts which, branching off from what we know, create alternative realities. The horizon leans forward, offering you space to take new steps of change.

SeaCompression is a one-of-a-kind fall gathering—a hybrid of street carnival, dance party, and art festival—produced by Ignition Northwest, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to building community through participatory arts, immersive events, and creative education. As the official “decompression” event for the Burning Man community, SeaCompression serves as a vibrant closing ceremony to the festival season, inviting both seasoned Burners and newcomers to embrace the spirit of inclusion, self-expression, and collaborative creativity. A legacy of imagination: For more than two decades, SeaCompression has brought together the Puget Sound Burner community in celebration of art, music, performance, and community connection. Each year features large-scale art installations, interactive experiences, and unforgettable performances created by and for the community.
