The Bruleurs de Montreal Burners are based in and around the city of Montreal, Quebec. We hold monthly Burner Potlucks, occasional Drink Nights, picnics, and fundraisers, plus an annual Information Session for new Burners (aka “Virgin Night”). We have two non-profits, each responsible for one of our official Burning Man regional events: “L’Organisme de décompression des Brûleurs de Montreal“, our annual Decompression event, taBURNak!; and “Artichaud”, responsible for our an annual five-day camp-out in June, “L’OsstidBurn“.
Montreal Burners have been known to create major fire art installations for Burning Man — most memorably Fire Tetris (by Miaow Labs) in 2015 — and communal sculptures such as PORTAGE in 2012.
Montreal Burners also participate in numerous Regional events such as SideBurn, Firefly, and Lakes of Fire. Of course many of us are also involved in a wide array of cultural activities in Montreal as well.
